Full Job Description

The workshop assistant is a demanding role, which involves getting involved with the parts, from unloading the material to loading/unloading the machines, to packing them for delivery, full training will be given on all aspects of this role.

The 3D roll will involve all aspects of helping to run these production parts on the 3d printers, from filling the machines with powder, aligning the base plates, sieving and recycling powder to cutting the parts off the base plates and shot blasting the parts.

The workshop assistant side of the role involves keeping all areas tidy , some visual inspection and wrapping of parts

The Role:

  • Work in a safe manner in line with HSE and company guidelines.

  • Daily maintenance of machines and keeping a clean and safe working area.

  • Ensuring good time management- to ensure maximum and safe production is achieved.

  • Use of hand tools.

  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work.

  • Help with the receipt of deliveries (materials etc).

  • Checking, monitoring, and filling up coolant in the machines.

  • Help with daily / weekly machine maintenance schedules/checks.

  • Loading and unloading of billets in the machines for the machinists.

  • Working to Company SOPs, and accreditations.

    Willingness to learn and develop.

  • Able to work to verbal and written instructions given.

  • Minimum basic PC skills

  • Some previous experience of Machines and measuring equipment (but not essential), Warwick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred), GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

    Automotive Trim Developments (ATD) are one of the leading manufacturers of vehicle interiors and electromechanical modules and have recently been awarded several new contracts with "blue chip" customers in the automotive, defence and rail industry.


  • The Machine shop in Warwick being part of the ATD group and have received investment in five new high-end machines tools in the last twelve months to cope with their full order book.

    This position is a permanent 4-day week on day shift (Mon-Thur 36 hours)
