Based in our Finance Shared Service Centre, you'll be part of a dynamic team that supports our nationwide network of retailers. With over 140 team members and a focus on continual growth and development, we're dedicated to offering limitless opportunities for career development.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play an integral part in the Finance chain, taking care of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and cashiering duties. You'll be working physically from Head Office for three days per week, with the flexibility to work from home for two days per week.

What does the role of Accounts Assistant involve?

  • Assist the day-to-day workings of the Accounts department, helping to process bonus and warranty documents against the ledger balances

  • Review and analyse information from the bonus and warranty ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness, and take corrective action, as appropriate

  • Raise queries with the manufacturers to help resolve aged debt items

  • Conduct write offs as per policy following investigation with the dealership teams/regional teams

  • Reconcile bonus nominal ledger accounts and narrate and investigate accordingly

  • Provide excellent customer service to our dealerships and manufacturers, this includes respond to calls and emails efficiently

    Experience gained within an accounts department, with a good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

  • Excellent organisation skills, with strong attention to detail

  • The ability and motivation to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, being highly computer literate with experience of working with Microsoft Excel, knowledge of ERP systems, processes and workflow technology would be desirable

    Pendragon Head Office - Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
