Full Job Description

As Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing various administrative tasks related to inventory management, transportation coordination, and documentation within the logistics department. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the smooth execution of logistics activities. Your responsibilities will include order processing, planning and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient and seamless operations.

Job Specification:

  • Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of goods

  • Generate and process purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents.

  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure they adhere to schedules and meet quality standards.

  • Manage and coordinate with a selection of Hauliers to achieve best cost per order statistics and ensure OTIF deliveries are hit and maintained.

  • Communicate with internal teams to provide updates on the status of orders and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and inventory turnover.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate the flow of information and address any supply chain challenges.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance overall supply chain strategies.

    Proven experience working in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

  • Previous Manufacturing, Retail of FMCG experience

  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of logistics processes, including inventory control, transportation management, and warehousing operations.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving processes.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

  • The company operates in two manufacturing facilities in West Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines with the capabilities of producing both still and sparkling water servicing leading retailers such as Morrisons, Lidl, Booker Tesco and Sainsbury through private label and produces the brands Ice Valley® and White Rock® exclusively.

    Following a period of impressive growth, the business are looking to strengthen their Logistics offering to support further expansion and development plans and seeking an experienced Administrator to join their already established team.

    Salary: up to £30,000 (experience dependant)

    Working Hours: Mon-Thurs(8:30-5:30pm) Fri (8:30-4:30pm)

    Pay: £22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
