Full Job Description

Wychavon Area Team are looking to recruit. Due to several internal promotions, we currently have vacancies for 3 Social Workers in this well-established Team.

Covering Droitwich, Pershore, Evesham and surrounding areas you will be joining an established team. We encourage autonomy and professional development alongside managerial and peer support to assist you to deliver a strength-based approach to practice. This is an interesting and varied role in which you will work with adults throughout the life course who require care and support as a result of physical disability and mental/physical ill health.

The ideal candidate will have a positive approach and experience with complex cases and situations. The role requires a high level of skill in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Extensive knowledge of the Care Act, and the Mental Capacity Act is essential. Candidates will be required to have access to their own vehicle and hold a valid driving licence.

In Worcestershire we have adopted the 3 Conversation Model of practice which involves a strength-based approach to working with people. You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and, within agreed budget limits, can self-approve support plans.

This approach promotes autonomous and creative working styles amongst professionals. The 3 Conversation Model promotes an innovative and creative approach to practice, where you will support people to make positive changes in their life, exploring universal services as well as purchasing support packages and placements to promote independence.

You will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers. WCC offer a flexible approach adopting a hybrid working model which enables team members to work from home as well as our offices.
