Full Job Description
- Utilise/interpret - SolidWorks
- Work using Alphacam - computer-aided manufacturing software that converts engineering drawings onto a CNC controlled machine
- WoodWOP - Homag specific operating platform
- SWood - plug in programme for configurating 3D models
- Use of Magi-Cut, an optimisation cutting programme for orders
- Operating CNC machines
- Programming CNC machines
- Tooling for CNC machines
- Fault finding when machine and programme not functioning
- Provide technical support to both the machine operators and machine manufacturers
- Liaise between the requirements of customer and ability/capability of our machines
- Work closely with factory management and machine operators
- Hands-on approach to technical issues which may arise during the course of the working week
- Develop a continuous improvement philosophy
- Health & Safety Management
- An employer approved Level 2 Foundation Competence qualification.
- An employer approved Level 3 Development Competence qualification.
- An employer approved Level 3 Development Technical Knowledge qualification., Communication skills, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade A - C/9-4/or equivalent) Essential, Skills Required; Ability to understand engineering drawings High level of computer literacy Good numeracy skills Good organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivated Excellent attention to detail
