Full Job Description
A real prospect and opportunity for an experienced AutoCAD engineer to join the business. This is a new role for the company and therefore a real opportunity to develop your own department in this Nottingham based manufacturer of bespoke assembled communication and CCTV systems. You must have a strong engineering background as the company design and build their bespoke equipment utilising electrical and mechanical applications. As the AutoCAD engineer you will be producing wiring diagrams, general arrangement, system diagrams, bills of materials and metal fabrication drawings.
Environment:
The company have been operating for over 11 years and now require a driven AutoCAD Engineer to be part of the business - NOT just a number, but a real part of the company driving forward.
You will be working in an office with x5 members of the business, working closely with the directors and project engineers aiding them and taking ownership of the drawing department.
You must be adaptable and be able to respond to changes of the customer and business.
Opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the business going forward and taking ownership of the CAD side of the business.
Role:
- To draw 2d wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts for the company's project engineers and sales team.
- Create and own the drawing aspect of the business - Set up a drawing standards library to create consistency of drawings
- Aiding the drawing aspect to the manufacture of assembled equipment that include: PCB Boards, Fabricated metal structures, Metal boxed structures, electrical wiring, design panels etc.
Mechanical/Electrical understanding - capable of drawing layouts and wiring diagrams - Strong 2d Auto CAD skills with scope for Solidworks 3d applications
- Must be adaptable, confident and organised individual
Hours: Mon-Thur 8am-4:45pm, Fri 8am-12:30pm
Overtime: Time and half
