Gama Aviation is pleased to invite applications for the position of B1.3 and B2 Licensed Engineer (H145) based in Staverton. The B1.3 and B2 Licensed Engineer would be reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, Rotary Wing for Gama's Special Mission Business Unit, the B1.3 and B2 Licensed Engineer is primarily responsible for the delivery of a serviceable aircraft and engineering facilities, capable of fulfilling the operational requirements of the customer. This role is based at Staverton however on occasion, the B1.3 Licensed Engineer may be required to perform line maintenance away from Staverton.,

  • Completion of all paperwork and documentation;

  • The issuing of all approved materials to the work via the Company's computer systems;

  • All work is completed using approved tools and ground support equipment;

  • All work is completed in a safe and appropriate manner considering risk to personnel, property and reputation;

  • The working environment is approved and appropriate to the task being undertaken;

  • All tooling is accounted for prior to return to service;

  • All post maintenance actions have been completed;

  • Completion of maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Central Planning Department;

  • Reporting defects to the Maintenance Manager or Central Planning Department;

  • Reporting issues regarding matters of Health and Safety or Flight Safety, via the Company's reporting system;

  • Engineering additional duties as directed by the Maintenance Management or Central Planning Department.

  • Emergency Response
  • Maintain knowledge of the emergency response programme policies, processes and procedures, as defined by the Emergency Response Procedures. Be prepared to respond in a crisis as an ERP representative, if required by the role.

    A UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence category B1.3 or B2;

  • Airbus H145 Type Rating and experience including recency on type;

  • A strong maintenance related technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems;

  • A good working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, Health & Safety and Human Factors;

  • The ability to take responsibility and ownership of tasks;

  • The ability to understand the requirement of clear, unambiguous communication;

  • Familiarity with OEM appropriate to helicopter types operated;

  • The ability to work alone and the willingness to travel. This role is shift based primarily at our Staverton HQ but may require cover across the whole country to support AOG situations as necessary.


  • / Desirable Skills:
  • Hold AW169 and/or AW139 Type Ratings;

  • Experience in HEMS helicopter operating environments;

  • Have experience of Leonardo helicopters;

  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Confident, approachable and enthusiastic;

  • Accurate, numerate and excellent attention to detail;

  • Team player with the ability to work with a degree of autonomy.
