Working from home position - predominantly working across East Lancs and various other locations when required.

As a Support Worker your day will consist of:

  • To conduct initial interviews and assessments of applicants to the scheme.

  • To conduct comprehensive Risk Assessments and Risk Management Plans with applicants and service users.

  • To engage and empower service users to complete initial self-assessment of needs, including barriers and aspirations, which will form the basis of their individual support plans.

  • To engage service users to attend support sessions to develop skills in individual areas as defined within self-assessment of needs and support plans.

  • Support service users to engage in formal and informal learning opportunities.

  • Empower service users to engage in services and within their community.

    You have experience working within a Supported Housing Setting (desirable but not essential)

  • You have a good standard of education to G.C.S.E level or equivalent, with grade C or above - or equivalent in Mathematics and English.

  • Fully I.T literate in all Microsoft Packages

  • You have good communication skills both written and verbal.

  • You have a calm personable nature and find appropriate resolutions when handling conflict or difficult issues.

  • You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.

  • You can work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • You have a full drivers licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
