Full Job Description

We aim to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.

The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. We aim to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.

The Business Analyst will will be part of a dynamic BA team, within our central Business Change and Assurance function. You will work across the entire business, understanding the business requirements and needs for processes and software, collecting the information and structuring the appropriate documentation needed for deployments to succeed. You will provide enhanced support for the IT team to design and develop best-in-class software solutions across our operation., The role is responsible for the following:

  • Proactively engaging business and technical stakeholders to capture their requirements and manage their delivery expectations/feedback as required.

  • Translating complex business and user needs into detailed requirements that align with best practice methodology.

  • Writing clear and testable user stories with acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborating with product development team to refine and clarify user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Undertaking discovery investigations that help to advise the Product Development Team on scoping and planning the product strategy and backlog.

  • Facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups, and other techniques to effectively understand business problems and user needs, and capture key insights for analysis.

  • Produce appropriate documentation to support the high-quality development of products and services, and provide an audit trail for decisions and iterations.

  • Capturing identified risks, issues, opportunities and lessons learned in appropriate logs and informing the project manager.

  • Following Agile methodologies and participating in ceremonies as defined by the product development team.

  • Participating in the full lifecycle of development, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and providing end-user support for risk and compliance products.

  • Participating in the development of business analysis templates, processes and toolset to support continual improvement of the team.

  • Support for more junior members of the team, as applicable.

  • Plus any other duties as required by the leadership team.

  • Internal - Product Owners/Managers, Leadership team, Developers, Designers, Project Managers, Testers, SMEs, Marketing team

  • External - SaaS providers and support, Outsourced Customer Support (AA), charge point end users

    3 years' experience in a commercial environment and similar role

  • Ability to participate in multiple concurrent projects and accurately represent a range of stakeholders, business and technical requirements

  • Knowledge of a range of Business Analysis techniques, processes and documentation and their suitable deployment to a wide range of business projects
