Full Job Description
· Producing detailed technical designs/drawings using a range of software but primarily Autodesk AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret client requirements/design details in order to produce compliant details/designs to meet such requirements, specifically in 2D however 3D would be an advantage.
· Using software, the candidate will also be responsible to produce material schedules for procurement purposes.
· Ordering materials as required
· Producing detailed fabrication drawings
· Coordinate effectively with management to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
· Manage own workload and time to ensure efficient and effective production.
· Raise RFI's (Request for Information) directly to a client and gathering information needed to coordinate details for production.
· Good communication skills are needed for the role, you will be liaising with the design team, architects, consultant engineers, and other departments to coordinate projects.
· Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in producing detailed designs/operating design software and will have an industry recognised qualification to Level 3 or above. Our business specialises in the manufacture/fabrication of steel items such as masonry support systems, wind posts, cavity tray and the like, therefore, experience in this area or the construction/masonry industry in general would be advantageous.
