Full Job Description

The role of a Service Coordinator will include:

  • managing a small team of staff and volunteers ensuring the people who need the British Red Cross receive the best possible service.

  • meeting with their service users and assess their needs. You will guide or signpost them to connect with groups within the community or to manage a health condition. This will enable them to lead independent lives and improve their wellbeing.

  • liaising with partnership agencies and stakeholders to promote the service and build meaningful relationships.

  • producing and maintaining monthly reports., The post-holder will be responsible for supporting pupils and parents/carers, working with the attendance team in ensuring that all children and young people access school regularly. The post-holder will also contribute to all aspects of safeguarding, for young people within the school. To set up the Oasis Hub Immingham through delivering activities for the community and building partnerships with other local groups. To engage and work with hard-to-reach families supporting them to access Hub services and activities to develop their skills, knowledge, and aspirations., To assist in the production and collation of attendance information and documentation

  • To develop and implement integrated systems / procedures to monitor and improve student/pupil access to education.

  • To attend and support with relevant Attendance Panel Meetings.

  • To work within the referral system of OAI to obtain details of students/pupils whose attendance is irregular or whose behaviour or health is causing concern.

  • To liaise with staff and other appropriate colleagues to determine any issues including curriculum or social issues in the academy., A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to support young people in North and North East Lincolnshire to have their say in how health services are planned and delivered.


  • The role will involve recruiting and training young people as community connectors to enable them to listen to the experiences of their peers and use this to drive change.

    The overall objective of the post is to oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of Healthwatch volunteers across both Healthwatch teams in North and North East Lincolnshire, and ensure they can contribute fully to the work of the organisation., Each Advisory Committee member is part of a small team, who collectively bring a range of skills, knowledge and experience including: working with children and young people; the voluntary sector; disability; social services; equal opportunities; business planning and finance., The Project Officer will be responsible for finding ways to engage with a diverse range of individuals and groups from within the local community and use your range of interpersonal skills to discover their feedback and experiences of health and social care interactions.

    This role will also include recruiting and managing volunteers, providing information and signposting, producing periodic reports and leading on initiatives that actively help patient experiences drive positive change., Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, this project seeks to engage forced migrant ESOL learners in exploring their own ideas about places of value in their localities. You will plan and run sessions and lead visits in two places in our region: Hull and Huddersfield., We're looking for a peer champion for the Reconnect Service within our Liaison and Diversion team. Using your own experience to guide others, we want you to motivate and engage clients to navigate them through their release from the criminal justice system and onto a stable pathway.

  • Direct lived experience of criminal justice and / or prison system

  • Good interpersonal skills including providing sound advice and support

  • Strong emotional resilience towards challenging behaviours

  • A full UK driver's license and access to a car for work

    The project also aims to produce a set of learning resources co-produced with project participants. This is a short-term part-time contract to deliver this project between Jan - September 2024.
