Full Job Description
As Club Steward, you will assist the catering manager to ensure the smooth running of the bar and clubhouse on a day-to-day basis and support the organisation and service of internal functions. Ideally you will have previous experience in customer-facing roles and present a warm welcome to members, guests and visitors, though this is not essential as full training will be provided.
You will also be responsible for the security of the clubhouse at the end of the working day, and you will have a confident telephone manner and be able to handle the booking of tee times for golfers and visitors alike.
As you progress in the role, there will be lots of opportunity for development and promotion, which we are keen to prioritise internally. This makes it a great opportunity for someone looking to carve out a career in the hospitality industry and those with an established background in customer service.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the club
- Assist in general administrative work when required
- Open and close premises
- Answer telephone queries and make bookings
- Assist with internal functions and events
- Other duties as directed by the Catering Manager
