Full Job Description

If your experianced in CNC OR Mig/ Tig fabrication and commutable to Norwich get in touch.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. To Programme, set, operate CNC machines with Fanuc controls

2. To work to customer drawings and specifications with the minimum of supervision following training

3. To work to tight tolerances and check your own work

4. To work on your own initiative and understand the manufacturing processes

5. Report any tooling required to Supervisor

6. Keep a clean and manageable working area

7. Fulfil training programs deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development

8. To take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate

9. Any other duties as required, commensurate with job position

Key Measures:

· CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator efficiencies and quality

· CNC machine maintenance

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

- Program CNC machines using SolidWorks and other software

- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications

- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments

- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

- Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs as needed

- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role

- Proficiency in using CAD software, such as the likes of SolidWorks or similar

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes

- Familiarity with hand tools, tooling, and warehouse operations

- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
