Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Liaison Officer to join The Wilmslow Hospital. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of The Wilmslow Hospital Growth strategy, concentrating on Consultant recruitment and retention. You will also assist in developing hospital product and service initiatives in response to market conditions/demands.
You will work with the Consultant Liaison Officer at our sister sites, The Christie Private Care and The Portland Manchester. The Compliance Officer will be your direct report.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the Hospital Director to develop and implement hospital business & marketing plans to deliver volume, revenue and profit growth including development of new products/services to respond to local demand/needs, working closely with other CLO's across HCA Healthcare UK.

  • To support hospital communication strategies maximising PR opportunities and developing profile of hospital in conjunction with the marketing team.

  • To manage the consultant contact management database for each consultant - tracking key motivators for this consultant.

  • Prepare and present monthly reports, identifying trends, additional business opportunities, and obstacles to new business growth with the Hospital Director

  • Work with Marketing team and Hospital Director to ensure that new consultants are effectively marketed to key demographics.

  • Seek out and recruit new consultants in line with facility growth and strategy plans.

    Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Previous extensive experience of working within healthcare

  • Excellent IT skills: competency using all MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Previous hospital based clinical/ operational experience would be an advantage

  • Able to work on own initiative, pro-active and to cope in changing environments

    Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
    Shifts: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30 with some meetings/events out of hours
    Contract type: Permanent
    Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 plus discretionary bonus. Depending on the experience + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
