Cook / Commis Chef

Due to continued growth we are looking to take on an experienced Cook or Commis Chef to help with the production and development of our range of Delicatessen Products.

The job is based in the idyllic Award Winning Market town of Helmsley an ideal place to live and work complimented by range of high end shops and hotels. Our Award Winning Deli/Bakers/Butchers Shop has received significant investment recently and is located in prime position in the busy Market Place.

Initially the role will be approximately a 50/50 split between and the Delicatessen producing a range of established products. With increased sales, we anticipate this will gradually move towards a full time Chefs position. We would wish the successful candidate to work with us in developing a range of quality new products. This could include salads and coleslaws, ready meals, cooked deli meats as well as matching ingredients from the inhouse Butchers and Fruit and Veg department for seasonal soups etc. There is clear opportunity for the successful candidate to grow both their career and earnings potential with us.

Ideally candidates will live within a sensible travelling distance to Helmsley, however if you are looking to relocate into the area, please do not hesitate to apply.

• Cooking: 2 years (required)
  
  Normal working week of 5 days with a regular full day off working around 41 hours per week. Includes most Saturdays and some Sundays includes a Saturday off rota.
