Credit Controller

Job Introduction Based at our Long Eaton office you will be working with our Credit Control Supervisor & Senior Credit Controller to maximise cash collections through the effective application of the Company's credit policy. You'll also provide day to day support for credit controllers including the escalation of problematic accounts to appropriate level.
Key Responsibilities

• Pro-actively deal with both due and overdue debt ensuring queries are resolved effectively


• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers in addition to other agencies


• Be accountable for and take ownership of your allocated ledger


• Improving percentage of debts paid to terms


• Effective reduction of aged debt


• Escalation of accounts in line with agreed collection paths


• Preparation of reports


• Participate in monthly debt conference calls with internal stakeholders


• Processing credit card payments as and when required
  
  Credit control experience


• Phone based Customer service experience


• Pro-active and tenacious approach to work


• Resilient attitude towards challenging scenarios


• Ability to work on own initiative


• Understanding of various types of insolvency


• Excellent attention to detail


• IT Literate - Microsoft Office, particularly use of Excel


• Good level of numeracy and literacy
