Full Job Description

Reporting to the Customer Logistics Team Leader your role will be to ensure the effective and efficient running of our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) systems.

  • Maintaining our current VMI systems at our customer premises.

  • Assist in the design, build and installation of new VMI systems.

  • Assist in the production of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for new VMI Customers.

  • Prepare efficient van routings and issue delivery schedules for VMI Customers

  • Provide input into Customer Logistics reviews.

  • Ensure all Customers' concerns related to the VMI systems are investigated and any remedial or improvement opportunities are identified, implemented and improvements measured.

  • Ensure any issues raised by service Agents via Corrective Action Reports or Kanban health checks are actioned and feedback given to relevant personnel.

  • Maximise the efficiency of the VMI systems within KPI guidelines.

  • Provide training to new Service Agents to an acceptable level.

  • Ensure all health, safety and environmental guidelines are implemented and always followed.

    A good understanding of Microsoft D365 dynamics WMS and operating system plus, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook will be a great asset to any candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, busy environment.


  • The Candidate

    Experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential, fastener knowledge and logistics experience are an advantage as is knowledge and experience of kanban systems. You will be self-motivated, and physically fit. Have an aptitude for daily routines and processes which will help you succeed.

    Practical people, team players, and candidates filled with common sense make the perfect Customer Logistics operative. The ability to work both safely and quickly, while still paying attention to detail and accuracy.

    Training will be provided to help the successful candidates, improve their IT skills, and logistics knowledge. Succession planning, to help them to progress to higher levels within TRF UK.,
  • Warehouse experience: 2 years (preferred)

  • Logistics: 2 years (required)
