We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Customer Service Operator to join our Northampton Schools account in Amey, 1st Floor Waterside House, Waterside Way, Northampton NN4 7XD - this role will be based on site.

The salary is dependent on experience.

Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Northampton Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 42 schools (five secondary and 37 primary).

Every day our people help create high-quality learning environments - ensuring they are safe, clean and compliant for teachers to inspire and where students can gain meaningful skills and qualifications.

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours. Shift pattern will change each week from 7am-3pm & 10am - 6pm

You will be responsible for:

  • Taking inbound and making outbound calls

  • Logging and management of events on our internal CAFM system

  • Inbox management

  • Chasing internal and external resource for event closure

  • Liaising with contractors to gain supporting documentation

  • Raising various reports, documents and updating records

  • Running reports

  • Various other requests raised from line management

    1+ years' experience within customer service or a similar role


  • Will be well versed in using various Microsoft software including but not limited to Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

  • Must have a strong eye for detail.

  • Will be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Must have strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Must have a proactive and forward-looking outlook.
