Full Job Description

You will be expected to promote an inclusive environment that is warm, welcoming and stimulating in order to encourage the development of children to ensure they reach their full potential. You will Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to development of plans to support the delivery of individual learning programmes for children. You will work alongside the Team Leader and support them in the day to day running of the room. You will receive hands on experience and your own skills and experience will be a valuable asset to the team.

Salford Family local authority nurseries are looking for competent, resilient patient and dedicated Deputy Team Leader to support the day to day running of the nursery rooms. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is taking their first steps in a leadership role. We pride ourselves on looking after our staff and children. we do ask that you are available to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Our most important clients, our children, have requested the following type of person joins the team:

· Have a warm smiling face that makes them feel special.

· Have a sense of humour and be able to laugh at the jokes that they tell, even if you don't find it funny!

· Someone who has a fantastic imagination and if you are asked to make a pirate ship out of a cardboard box, you will make them believe that it is real.

· Be able to sing out of tune and in front of a crowd of eager smiling faces

· Be able to tell a story with a range of crazy voices and impressions

· Be prepared to convincingly pretend to eat playdough

· Be content in the fact that our only cup of tea all morning might be a pretend one

· You must be prepared to have lots of fun during the day. Lots of laughter is a guaranteed outcome

· You must be able to empower the children to be the best of what they can be and provide opportunities for them to be independent learners

· You must be up for a challenge and able to work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same

· You need to be resilient, hardworking and a good team player who can build positive relationships with children and families from a wide range of backgrounds

· You need to have some good leadership skills and be able to support the other adults in the room

· You must have the knowledge and ability to keep the children safe

· You must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to the children and their families.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £9.50 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £38.00
