Working in our People team and reporting to the Head of Talent and Capability, this role will shape the digital development footprint required to support talent and uplift capabilities within the Technology Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to design and build a best-in-class approach within the Technology function for wider consideration across MO. Using your effective stakeholder skills to complete training needs analysis to design and build career pathways, digital frameworks and e-learning content to transform the skills and talent capabilities within Technology.

Working closely with the Talent & Capability team, Technology Stakeholders and HR Business Partner to ensure the right knowledge, skills, behaviours, and experience is in place to successfully deliver our ambitious business transformation strategy.

This role will also support the wider Technology team in the design and delivery of innovative and effective L&D solutions for Technology at MO.
Design and deliver learning pathways to the Technology division:
Instructional design and curriculum development

  • Design and develop engaging digital learning content, including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive materials.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create effective training programs aligned with the goals of technology team.

  • Ensure content is learner-centric, accessible, and follows best practices in instructional design.


  • Utilise existing learning systems to create innovative solutions
  • Identify best approaches to utilise where appropriate the existing LXP (Learning Pool), e-learning assets and Skills Builder system purchased for career pathways, course setup, user enrolment, and reporting.

  • Monitor learner progress, track completion rates, and troubleshoot any technical issues.

  • Provide user support and training on functionality.


  • Need analysis and training gap identification
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify future skill gaps and learning requirements.

  • Analyse performance data and feedback to tailor learning solutions.

  • Recommend appropriate training interventions based on identified gaps.


  • Digital Learning technologies and tools
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in digital learning.

  • Proficient in authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.

  • Familiarity with virtual classrooms, webinars, and blended learning approaches.


  • Project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (HR, managers, Tech) to align learning initiatives with business needs.

  • Communicate project updates and seek feedback regularly.


  • Evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Implement evaluation strategies (Kirkpatrick model) to assess development effectiveness.

  • Collect feedback from learners and adjust content as needed.

  • Continuously improve learning experiences based on data-driven insights.

    You are passionate about delivering creative and successful digital (and blended) learning and development solutions.

  • You are confident at building e-learning solutions and structured pathways and programmes.

  • Experience of shaping career pathways and buildign LXP/LMS systsems an advantage.

  • Familiar with roles within Tech teams an advantage

  • You can translate requirements into tools available to support skills mapping and progression

  • You can work independently to deliver solutions

  • You are confident and enthusiastic about meeting with stakeholders to understand their needs

  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills, enjoy working collaboratively and can build relationships across all levels of an organisation.

  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, applying sound judgement and acting on your own initiative, adapting to change and new challenges as required.

  • You are a highly organised individual and possess the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

  • You are comfortable with using technology and using e-learning systems - in an ideal world you would have experience with Learning Experience Platforms (e.g. Learning Pool) to build user experience

  • Minimum criteria:
  • Demonstrable experience of gathering requirements with a number ofstakeholders and translating this into action/deliverables

  • A solid understanding of different types of learning and possible learning providers

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and Learning Experience Systems to build learning pathways

  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion

  • A demonstratable enthusiasm and passion for equality, diversity, and inclusion
