Full Job Description

  • Provide expert advice & support to GSK UK LOC on ABPI code related activities.

  • Medical lead for digital infrastructure and governance - lead and develop the UK Digital Governance Framework in collaboration with commercial lead

  • Develop capabilities across medical, through training, mentoring programs and shared learning for medical signatories in training, final medical signatories and other medical affairs staff across UK LOC

  • Coordinate and provide expert input to responses to PMCPA complaints

  • Lead on lessons from PMCPA cases by driving dissemination of learning from case precedents among signatories and medical affairs teams

  • Lead GSK's input /responses to ABPI initiatives both internal and external

  • Management monitoring of APBI Code and GSK process adherence of Content Lab jobs

  • Leadership and resolution of any CAPAs relating to copy approval, Patient and Scientific Engagement, and identification of key themes to inform future development of training programmes


  • Responsible for third party copy approval supplier services


  • Lead on non-clinical audits/inspections (e.g. Independent Business Monitoring, Audit & Assurance, PMCPA)


  • Provide expert insight into and support writing of medical SOPs and Guidance Documents (GUIs), as well as commercial SOPs and GUIs where appropriate

  • A GMC-registered doctor or GPC-registered pharmacist with the right to work in the UK who is an ABPI final signatory

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience with significant breadth of experience in Medical Affairs and ability to demonstrate extensive experience of ABPI certification and PMCPA code complaint responses.

  • Good understanding and demonstrable ability to balance medical and commercial imperatives to maximise the benefit to patients who use GSK products, building highly effective relationships and networks

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and network in a complex matrix.

  • Proactive, self-motivated and self-reliant

  • Experience of training and/or mentoring other people in the ABPI Code
