Full Job Description

Pending the launch of the new strategy and the appointment of the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) a number of senior posts were filled as interim. With the arrival of the new COO and the creation of her new team, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the new COO vision and strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, you will deliver a high quality and professional service to assist the University in securing and managing research funding. Building productive relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that the University's capabilities can be matched most effectively with external funding opportunities whilst managing intellectual property, you will achieve success in innovation and knowledge exchange and demonstrate impact internally, nationally and globally.

The role will provide strategic direction and leadership, ensuring high quality planning, advice, delivery and project management of all aspects of the University's research, knowledge exchange and innovation activities and the continued success of the University's delivery of the research and innovation strategy.

You will have a track record of successful delivery and have a focus on service transformation and a commitment to informed debate, corporate decision-making and collective accountability as well as individual ownership.
