Full Job Description

The Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit part time Domestic Assistants to join our friendly team and help maintain the high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital., The Domestic Assistant is responsible for providing high standards of cleanliness using modern methods and machinery.

The part time vacancy is 22 hours per week, 4 days per week, shift times are 10.00 am - 4.00 pm, working alternate weekends.

Week 1 - working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.

Week 2 - working days are Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday.

The successful candidate would be expected to work bank holidays., You will be responsible for providing high standards of cleanliness in the theatres department using modern methods and machinery.,

  • Cleaning of toilets, urinals, sinks, baths, wash hand basins.

  • Static mopping of floors and walls and other high surfaces.

  • Damp mopping of floors.

  • Buffing, spray cleaning and scrubbing of hard floors.

  • Suction cleaning of floors.

    Previous experience in a NHS cleaning environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. You must be enthusiastic, flexible and able to work alone and use initiative.
