Full Job Description

We are looking for a full time Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running of the centre and to keep our members happy through efficient process and a dedication to customer excellence.

Working alongside the Centre Manager you'll be involved in a range of duties including opening and closing procedures, organising adequate staffing, rostering the lifeguard team, dealing with members on arrival, poolside cover and pool water testing procedures. You will manage, develop, review, and motivate our team of lifeguards, ensuring they perform to the highest of standards. You may also be required to Lifeguard during lunch breaks and cover if someone is sick.

At times you will cover reception, responding to alarms and health and safety issues as they arise, plus booking appointments. You may also need to help in the busy community café, cleaning tables, taking orders and payments, serving customers, and washing up.

This role will suit someone who is passionate about the work we do, committed to excellent customer service and willing to "muck in" to get things done., In return you will work with a dedicated friendly and supportive team. There is free onsite parking and a bright modern cafe in the centre.

You're super organised and will enjoy multi-tasking to ensure all key areas are tackled, from managing the poolside to coaching team members. To be successful in this role you'll need excellent communication skills with ability to confidently troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

Ideally, you'll have some previous managerial experience. A current lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) is essential and Pool Operator licence is desirable but not mandatory, as we will provide training.
