Full Job Description

Main Purpose:

The Facilities Manager will co-ordinate planned and unplanned maintenance and facilities improvement projects across 7 Staci sites. Primary focus area will be the 5 northern sites.

Reports to:

Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Facilities Manager

Duties / Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Maintenance Calendar and co-ordinate contractor activities


  • Manage facilities improvement activities


  • Co-ordinate site maintenance issues


  • Research alternative maintenance suppliers

    Excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Reasonable technical ability.

    Able to professionally challenge contractors

    Able to prioritise effectively

    Understanding of basic finance & budgeting

    Having excellent written and spoken communication skills.
    Being proactive.

    Excellent attention to detail

    Excellent planning and organisational skills

    Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessment

    Good time management skills.

    Good PC skills

    Experience

  • Likely to have facilities/maintenance management experience


  • Likely to have more than 1 years of experience in Staci


  • Some people management experience is advantageous


  • Must be able to easily travel to all sites (North - all Blackburn & EPIC), Midlands (Leicester and Rugby). Private mileage will be paid to non contracted sites.


  • Flexibility in terms of shifts worked, including occasional weekend work

    Organised and methodical.

    Reliable and flexible.

  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (required)
