Full Job Description

Mirus are seeking a talented Financial Business Partner to join their finance team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organisation and be a key player in driving business success.

You will provide strong business partnership to develop and implement improved management information and business insight that will enable accurate and timely decision making.

You will prepare accurate forecasts and insightful explanations of financial performance across the organisation and support Managers to deliver their forecast expenditure.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial models, focusing on delivering valuable commercial insights, supporting our forecasting, and budgeting processes.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will

  • Collaborate with all departments to understand their financial needs and objectives.

  • Analyse financial data, performance metrics, and market trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

  • Prepare and present financial reports, including budget variances and forecasts, to assist in decision-making.

  • Work closely with department heads and managers to align financial strategies with the overall organisational goals.

  • Provide financial input into strategic plans, helping identify opportunities for growth and cost optimisation.

  • Lead the budgeting process by helping departments set realistic financial targets and priorities.

  • Identify financial risks and work with departments to develop mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.

  • Support internal and external audits and address financial compliance issues. Coach budget holders on finance systems and processes to develop effective budget management and controls.

  • Collaborate with the Finance Team, ensuring financial data adds significant value to the organisation.

  • Develop improvements in models and internal processes, regularly testing and analysing efficiency outputs.

    We require applicants to be Qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.

  • We require applicants to have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

  • Detail-orientated with a passion for process improvement.

  • Demonstrable experience of interrogating systems and processes to get to the root cause of overspends.

  • Ability to sift complex financial and non-financial information from a range of available sources to understand its impact on the organisation.

  • Commercially astute, preferably knowledgeable about the social care sector.

  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders.

  • A collaborator with excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent customer focus and willingness to take ownership of projects.

  • Proven advanced experience in financial modelling using Microsoft Excel and a competent user of Microsoft office and modern management information systems., Disability Confident
