Full Job Description

Support Through Sport are seeking an experienced, professional and highly organised individual with strong financial management skills to join Support Through Sport's Senior Leadership Team. We are seeking an individual with bookkeeping experience, ideally within non-profit organisations or charities with an understanding of payroll and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be Nottingham based as this role will include occasional meetings and work at our Nottingham office, with a hybrid work from home option.

At Support Through Sport, we use a range of positive initiatives as diversion and intervention programmes to support young people whilst tackling negative influences such as knife crime, gang violence, youth offending and serious youth violence. Our work is focused on building brighter futures and creating safer communities, through the power of sport and youth work combined.

As an organisation, we currently have a focus on sustainability and future investment to deliver such impactful work within underserved communities. This role will inform the decision making capacity of our SLT, as well as support our broader ethical and sustainable goals. As finance manager, you will be responsible for general financial operations such as invoicing, payroll, funding spend, finance enquiries and ensuring that all financial operations are within our organisational policies, procedures and guidelines.

As this role sits within our Senior Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the decision making process and shape the future of a thriving and ambitions youth organisation - driven to make change for disadvantaged communities and young people., Bookkeeping and keeping all financial records updated through an accounting system.

Working with accountants to prepare accounts and other necessary documents.

Providing payroll services to staff, through a payroll software.

Communicating well with our team internally, and with external partners or individuals relating to finance.

To prepare projections and budget analytics on a quarterly basis to the Senior Leadership Team or Directors.

Attend training as required by Support Through Sport.

To adhere to all company policies and procedures, and to encompass our ethos more broadly.

To produce or co-produce documentation such as invoices, contracts, SLA's, quotations and funding breakdowns.

Attend any and all meetings which are relevant to your role.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with staff, and volunteers.

To track and monitor spend against grants and contracts, ensuring that spend is in accordance with their agreements and minimising the risk of underspend or overspend.

To work with the development team to support the financial aspects of developing programmes and delivering new work.

To support financial planning and the implementation of the organisation's scalability and sustainability strategies.

Bookkeeping/accounting/management experience
