Full Job Description

Manage and supervise all aspects of the flower farm operations.

- Ensure all health and safety and compliance requirements are adhered to including the use of personal protective equipment and safe working practices.

- Develop and implement a detailed garden maintenance plan that includes weeding, pruning, planting, pest control, fertilizing, and watering to ensure that the farm is always in excellent condition.

- Manage the planting, propagation, cultivation and cutting of all plants, shrubs, trees and flowers in the garden and greenhouse, ensuring that they are healthy and thriving.

- Plan and implement planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting schedules

- Ensure the proper care and health of all plants on the farm

- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Flower Farm Manager with a minimum of 2 - 3 years growing experience in horticulture - must be manageable in flower growing for a organic and sustainable flower farm in West Berkshire.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and possess a diverse set of skills to manage day-to-day activities effectively., Proficiency in flower farming and horticulture
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining farm equipment
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of irrigation systems for crops
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience in gardening or crop management
- Capability for heavy lifting as required on the farm
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
- Enjoys physically demanding and fast paced environment
