General Maintenance Operative

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced handyperson to carry out day-to-day maintenance including maintaining, the general fabric of the home and undertaking minor repairs, whilst adhering to all health and safety requirements. The role also includes monthly auditing of various risk factors and completion of documentation, fire safety checks, ordering of equipment and stock. Ad-hoc requests from management include PAT testing electrical equipment, liaising with contractors, driving residents to appointments using the company minibus.

Candidates must have a working knowledge of using power tools and hand tools according to their instructions. Candidates must have a full valid driving licence and use of their own vehicle. Some knowledge of ground maintenance is preferred as we enjoy 7 acres of grounds and the outside work is shared within the team. The role is based at Linden House, but you may be asked to work off-site on occasion.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
