Full Job Description

To help achieve this we wish to recruit an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative.

Working as part of a mobile team you will lead a small team and carry out all aspects of grounds maintenance and other conservation and horticultural tasks at a number of sites throughout the borough, working in an outdoor environment all year round.

Duties include:

  • General grounds maintenance duties such as, digging, grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree planting, bulb and wildflower plug planting, wildflower meadow preparation and maintenance etc.

  • Use of a variety of hand and power tools and grass cutting machinery

  • Hard and soft landscaping work; desirable criteria includes experience of countryside conservation work.

  • Assist with external cleaning duties - such as litter picking, sweeping, emptying of litter bins etc.

    Grade 2, £22,737 up to £23,114 per annum pro rata

  • 37 hours per week, permanent contract
