As a Ward Housekeeper, you will be the linchpin in orchestrating all facility services within our Department. Your mission? To work harmoniously with the clinical team, ensuring an impeccably clean, secure, and comfortable environment for both our patients and staff., Collaborate seamlessly with the Department sister and fellow team members to uphold the highest national and local standards. This includes actively participating in initiatives like Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) audits, mattress assessments, Food and Hygiene standards.
Your overarching objective is : to bolster the provision of top-tier patient care. Achieve this by putting your personal touch on every action and constantly seeking opportunities for improvement.

Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check. The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be invoiced to you once you've commenced employment. The current price of a check is £40 plus VAT for an enhanced and £23 plus VAT for a standard check. If you are asked to complete a DBS check and have a previous identity that you do not wish to be disclosed to your employer and/or on your DBS certificate, you should call or email the dedicated sensitive applications team before submitting your application. The team is experienced in dealing with sensitive cases and will advise you of the process and what you need to do.
