Full Job Description

  • Assist in the recruitment process including liaising with recruitment agencies and other external sources

  • Arrange and co-ordinate interviews

  • Maintain up to date job vacancy information on company website and recruitment platforms

  • Assist with new starter inductions

  • Liaise with IT support for new starters, leavers and role changes

  • Coordinate employee development opportunities/changes

  • Assist and maintain in the administration of holiday and sickness records

  • Assist with company benefit schemes and provide information upon request

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure HR information is communicated and relevant paperwork is provided

  • Provide HR administration support to the management team

  • Assist in note taking at relevant HR meetings, including but not limited to return to work meetings, welfare meetings and disciplinary meetings

  • Ensuring that the policies of the company are observed, and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality

    We are looking for a hardworking, highly motivated apprentice with initiative and a high level of confidentiality, good IT skills and the ability to work as part of a team, to support and provide administration support to the HR Manager/department to ensure an effective HR service., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Administrative skills, Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, GCSE or equivalent 5 GCSE's including maths and English (Grade 5/ C or above) Essential

But, as we manufacture nearly everything in house we can offer these products at industry leading prices. We supply all kinds of window dressings, including: Wooden Blinds, Roller Blinds, Vertical Blinds, Curtain Poles, Ready-made and Made to Measure Curtains, Cushions, Roman Blinds, Plantation Shutters and Pleated Blinds. Unlike most companies, we manufacture nearly everything in our facility in Grange Moor, Yorkshire. This 40,000 sq ft factory has production spread over three floors. All our products are manufactured by small, skilled teams and we pride ourselves by the quality of their work. From taking
    delivery of the raw materials to shipping them out to customers we take painstaking care to ensure they meet our exacting standards.

    As a Level 3 HR Support apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your apprenticeship:
  • Level 3 HR Support apprenticeship standard

  • You will also develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work within an office environment

  • This apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace and 6 hours a week of your working time will be dedicated towards training and learning new skills

  • You will be allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support and assessment at pre-arranged times

  • Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions

  • All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio
