Full Job Description

You will be responsible for developing, coordinating and facilitating the Statistics and Epidemiology teaching and support for the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine. You will be supporting and teaching on IHTM as needed and appropriate, including mentoring MSc students and supervising Masters dissertations, as well as acting as course advisor to IHTM students in accordance with agreed procedures. You will also be taking responsibility for all aspects of statistical input into IHTM research projects, including study design, data handling, statistical analysis, interpretation of result., Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application. It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in statistics, epidemiology or related field along with teaching experience at the post-graduate level. You will have demonstrated interest in applying statistics to research in resource limited settings, as well as the ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams. You will have experience in various statistical analysis packages, particularly R software and with a wide range of statistical methodology including but not restricted to causal inference and experimental designs.
