IRIS Female Advocate Educator - maternity cover

The successful post holder will be required to provide individual, needs-led, trauma informed and strengths based support and advocacy for women who disclose their past or current experiences of domestic abuse. In addition, the post holder will provide ongoing training and support for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic abuse, using the specialist IRIS referral pathway.

It is essential that you have a comprehensive understanding of risk management, safety planning, safeguarding and multi-agency intervention and demonstrable experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse.

A current valid driving licence and the ability to provide a suitable vehicle for work are essential.

This post will be subject to suitable employment screening checks which includes eligibility to work in the UK, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and a minimum of two previous employment references.
