Full Job Description
- As our weekend bulletin reader you would have the opportunity to be creative and shape out news and sport bulletin content on a Saturday and Sunday.
- You would be responsible for editorial over the weekend and liaise with our colleagues online and on TV about any breaking stories.
- You should have experience of reading bulletins and be able to write clear and concise copy with strong local top lines.
- You would also be expected to react to any breaking news over the weekend and ensure that it is reflected on our Breakfast programme on Monday.
- You would have Friday to plan, prep and contribute to the wider newsroom effort.

- Demonstrate sound editorial decisions based upon a clear understanding of BBC Humberside's news agenda and its audience.

BBC Radio Humberside serves people in East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. This is a news reading job across several programmes on the station. It will involve sourcing, writing, editing and reading news and sports bulletins live on air.
