LECTURER - COMPUTING

REF: LEC2429

Salary: £28,931 - £37,347 being Academic Band, points 23-33 + excellent benefits.

Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours, 52 weeks.

Location: Paignton, Devon

We are looking for a professional Lecturer who will be required to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties as follows: preparation for teaching, formal teaching, tutorials, and student assessment.

You will need to have a Level 6 degree qualification in a computing related subject matter: General computing, networking, Cyber Security, programming, web development and a desire to undertake a higher level qualification, If not already held to attain a teaching qualification within 3 year and evidence of continued professional and personal development. You will also need experience of working in the computing industry, within a software engineering or website development role or experience of delivery of such topics within education.

You will also need experience of various software development languages e.g Python, C++, and C#., experience of various web development technologies and languages e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL, APIs and experience of HCI and design concepts, You will need to have good organisational/communication skills, be a good motivator and you will also need to be a creative thinker, be able to teach creatively and work as a team.
