Full Job Description

Day to day duties will include:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the salon throughout the day

  • Preparing clients for their services

  • Shampoo, condition and rinse hair

  • Reception duties such as answering telephone calls and making appointments

  • Colouring, styling and cutting the hair

  • Assisting and observing the stylists to gain knowledge on the different techniques

    • You will undertake general house keeping duties involved within the salon. You will be trained in Consultation, shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, style and finish hair the different cutting techniques and colouring techniques. Reception duties including booking appointments and taking payments on the online system

  • Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professional (Hairdressing)

  • Functional skills in maths and English to Level 2 if required

    • The Practical and Theory training will be delivered by one of the NHTA tutors within the salon. You can also attend the academy to receive extra training away from the salon., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Number skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Patience, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Desired
    GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Desired, Hairdressing professional

    Level 2 (GCSE)

    At Greenhouse our stylists are experienced in the most recent colouring techniques, attending regular training provided by Wella professionals, using the complete range of Wella colours. We stock and consult on the Nioxin treatment systems for fine and thinning hair. We have a large range of Wella products available. The Environmentally friendly WeDo/ including shampoo bars and dual purpose items and the invigo shampoos and conditioners. We also stock the EIMI finishing products to assist you with your perfect look from home. Hair ups for Proms and Weddings are also available.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
