Full Job Description

  • Learn and perform precise measurements using a variety of high-tech metrology equipment.

  • Design, test and implement measurement solutions for direct transfer into production sites.

  • Learn technical expertise in industry manufacturing techniques

  • Support the team in ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of metrology procedures.

  • Document measurement and calibration results accurately and communicate to the relevant global project stakeholders.

  • Engage in problem-solving activities related to measurement.

  • Achieve a recognized qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and be eligible for professional registration with EngTech post-nominals.

    A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including Mathematics, English, and a Science.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to the NPL in Teddington, London for 6 weeklong blocks per academic year (18 blocks over 3 years) with travel and accommodation paid for by Sartorius.

  • A keen interest in engineering and a commitment to developing skills in this area.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication abilities and a team player mindset.

  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
