Full Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous MI Analyst to join our team. The MI Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that drive decision-making and optimize business performance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

The remit of the business is to obtain periodic data from various organisations operating in the claims and dispute resolution industry. This data needs to be cleansed, warehoused, and uploaded to Power BI creating visually engaging dashboard reporting for funders and investors to the industry.,

  • Collect and compile data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform strategic decisions.

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide analytical support for key projects and initiatives.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains through data analysis.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing quality assurance processes and performing regular data validation checks.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in data analysis to continuously improve analytical techniques and methodologies.

  • When needed, provide training and support to colleagues on data analysis tools and techniques.

    Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a data analyst or MI analyst, preferably in a corporate or business environment, claims and dispute resolution background preferable but not essential.

  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.


  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python for data analysis.

  • Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.

  • Familiarity with statistical modelling and forecasting techniques.
