TBOWA Support Staff Scale 23

Are you looking for a career in a thriving, friendly and supportive environment where staff welfare is a priority? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people in a role that really matters? If so, The Bishop of Winchester Academy wants you!

We are seeking a highly inspired and motivated On Call Manager, who is committed to supporting students in the modification of behaviours that do not meet our expectations and is able to make a positive contribution to our community. This is an important role to assist the academy in reducing instances of poor behaviour and ensure learning is not impacted.

You will work with a highly professional team who believe in a calm and orderly learning environment and are ambitious in striving to meet individual needs and improving learning opportunities.

Committed to our principles and values, you will be able to challenge students within the academy environment who are not in lessons and remove students from classrooms when requested. This will require an ability to develop rapport with our students and assist our pastoral wellbeing and behaviour team in re-integrating pupils back into lessons.

Our team would be delighted to welcome you on a tour and answer any questions that you may have, prior to applying.

As On Call Manager, you will be welcomed into an exceptional team of professionals to:

· Enforce high expectations at all times in the academy

· Implement strategies that set challenging and demanding expectations and promote independence

· Support students to improve behaviours

· Support students to overcome personal barriers to academic success

· Deliver a reduction in the number of lesson removals through early intervention work

· Action all on call requests within an agreed timescale

· Provide training to others across the academy
