We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our team. As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our organization's operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and processes., We are a fast-growing company with an international recognition for delivering solutions and services to retailers and we need someone who can ensure we provide a great service to our customers in the support of specific services that we provide. Cybertill operates a customer-centric product and services model which needs an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to The Technical Operations Providing in-house IT support including hardware, operating system, networking and general technical project support to the Cybertill customers both internal and external. This involves supporting internal software, hardware and network services within the agreed SLA's.

Major duties and responsibilities:

· To log, update and resolve tickets on the Service Desk logging system.

· To work within a team and provide support to other members as and when required.

· To be able to work under pressure and within strict timescales.

· To be able to be self-motivated and work within a task originated environment, as well as dealing ad-hoc requests.

· To train and assist End Users / Service Desk on new and current hardware, operating systems and new technologies.

· Be pro-active and willing to learn new IT and customer service skills in order to enhance and improve support services supplied by the company to its customers.

· To be flexible to work out of hours (as and when required)

· To keep track of current hardware and software offering to track End of Life dates and part changes that require corrective action.

· To work on self-help support material for the Service Desk and internal Staff.

· To undertake technical validations of customer own hardware and arrange appropriate installations ensuring that this hardware does not have an adverse effect on the Service Desk long term.

· To be End User (Internal and External customers) focussed in outlook in order to provide excellence in support delivery.

· To relate directly with end users on known technical issues in order to try to resolve the issue or escalate to third parties as appropriate.

· To ensure that the internal IT infrastructure as a whole is sufficiently maintained and patched to ensure maximum security and availability.

Organisational Relationships

The role of the Technical Operations Engineer works within the Technical Operations Department and reports into the Technical Operations Manager. The role will also see close interaction with other all other Departments within Cybertill.

The Technical Operations Engineer will have a minimum of 2 years' experience coupled with a firm understanding of IT service management techniques and have extensive experience working with the following technologies and principles:

· Experience with IT service management techniques and process such as ITIL - desirable

· Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS - essential

· Experience working for a IT Managed Service Provider - essential

· Windows Server 2012/2016/2019- essential

· Windows SQL Server Administration - Desirable

· Voice Over IP Unified Communication/Contact Centre Solutions - desirable

· Windows Imaging and Deployment Techniques - essential

· Linux OS experience - desirable

· PCI/P2PE experience - desirable

· Microsoft SharePoint administration - essential

· Experience with Remote Management Deployment and Scripting tools - desirable

· Virtualization Management experience - essential

· C# Experience desirable

· NSIS Installer creation tool experience - desirable

Other Skills:

Additional requirements include strong knowledge of relevant applications and general knowledge of applicable processes in the Retail Industry covering:

Hardware - PC's, laptops, servers, IP phones, VPN Hardware token, iPhones, iPads and tablets, POS Units, Receipt Printers, Label Printers, Chip N PIN PEDs, Barcode scanners

Software - Microsoft packages, Adobe packages, Anti-Virus, Office 365, Windows 7/10 desktop and Server OS, Linux, Microsoft SQL/MySQL, virtualisation software, backup software, WatchGuard firewall configurations, Remote Device management software, Unified Communication Solutions and password management software.

Networking - Switches, Wi-Fi and General TCP/IP Networking, Firewalls

    · Computer related degree desirable.

    · Formal IT, Database qualifications desirable.
