Full Job Description

Our Operations Manager will be the site lead for our facility within a customer operation in Sittingbourne. You'll lead a team of 20 staff with two direct reports. The primary purpose of the role is to lead and promote continuous improvement in production, safety and quality metrics and provide leadership to operations teams on site. Build and maintain good relations with 3rd party management teams,

  • Effective implementation of Zero Harm and Safety Differently

  • Effective implementation of Zero Defect policies and procedures.

  • Achieve production and efficiency targets

  • Increase Process Reliability

  • Supervise, Coach and develop employees

  • Design and implementation of change based on data and root cause (i.e. risk assessments, root cause analysis, 5S, best in class benchmarking & reapplication)..

  • Monitoring and reporting CI metrics including plant efficiency, Near miss, product flow compliance

  • Leading and facilitating improvement activity using Kaizen approach

    Capabilities in Leadership, Project management and change

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualified

  • Experienced in lean based/CI operational role would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge and experience of quality principals

  • Strong numerical and verbal skills

  • Good coaching skills.

  • Proven skills and capabilities in communication and problem solving.

  • Experienced in the application of MS-Office
