Practice Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative Practice Nurse with a keen passion for Diabetes to join our Surgery. If you are looking for new challenges in a supportive and enthusiastic environment in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an integrated team. We are a large , busy and dedicated GP Practice with a patient list size of 18,181 and we continue to grow. We support the training and development needs of all our staff in all areas. The successful applicant will work under our experienced diabetic nurse practitionaer and work together with a fully supportive Nursing and HCA/GPA team and be supported by a large clinical team of GP Partners and salaried GP's. Evening and Saturday working will be required on a rota basis, The job description outlines the duties as currently required but may be amended to reflect future developments in the service, appropriate training will be provided to support essential skills required.

We use EMIS Web as our clinical system but complement with a range of additional technologies to support patient experience. We have regular clinical and non-clinical team meetings to manage and continually improve our patient care. We are passionate about training the next generation of workforce and for many years we have been a teaching practice.
