Full Job Description

As a Process Engineer Project Leader for Mott MacDonald Bentley you will be working in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across Northumbrian Water framework. Responsible for the delivery of efficient and sustainable solutions, you will work within a multi-disciplinary project team in the delivery of water and wastewater treatment solutions from inception through to completion of construction.
We believe the best engineering projects are delivered by engineers, so we combine the traditional Project Manager and Process Engineer roles into a single, Project Leader role.

Your work as a Process Engineer will include the following activities:

  • Leading the interfaces and integration of the process design with that of other disciplines.

  • Deliver process engineering design, including process calculations, mass balance, process flow diagrams and input to control philosophies.

  • Development of efficient and sustainable engineering solutions, meeting the requirements of the project scope.

  • Proactively engage with the supply chain and produce technical specifications for procuring proprietary process equipment.

  • Applying both innovative and standard designs to project problems.

    IChemE-accredited degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.

  • Chartered member of the IChemE or Associate member able to demonstrate progress made in working toward Chartership.

  • Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.

  • Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

    This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald.

  • Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.
    Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.
    This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
