Full Job Description

Location: We currently have Process Engineer Apprentice opportunities to join our Water Production department covering sites in the North, East, South and West Yorkshire areas. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Doncaster, Selby, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Halifax, Ripon and the Scarborough areas. A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points) is an essential requirement of this role, with the ability to travel between sites.,

  • Ensuring compliance with water quality standards, environmental regulations and ensuring health and safety, and process safety is achieved and managed through spending time visiting water production operational sites & assets.

  • Leading site operational and maintenance activities to achieve effective asset control and performance to maintain our regulatory requirements and provide wholesome water to the customers of Yorkshire.

  • The implementation of the water production optimal plan and managing cost reductions. Assisting with optimisation activities and sharing best practice, ensuring that service outage is always minimised, managing asset failure, operational recovery from the field and support cost information monitoring.

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as Health, Safety & Environment, Water Quality Requirements (DWI) and the Environment Agency are always followed., Our assets are operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, upon completion of your apprenticeship, you would be required to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.

    5 GCSE's grade A-C or 4-9 including English and mathematics.

  • Full UK driving licence and own method of transport to report to a Clean Water site which are often rural locations.

  • The ability to carry out a wide range of physical tasks and activities mainly outdoors (demonstrated in work experience and/or hobbies).

  • Be self-motivated, always willing to learn new skills and take pride in everything you do.

  • This role has a requirement to carry out occasional work in confined spaces so the successful completion of a medical performed by our Occupational Health Department and the relevant training course is essential. The successful candidate must pass strict medical criteria including, BMI, vision, blood pressure, hearing, and Spirometry tests to ensure your full safety when working in hazardous environments.

    Salary & Benefits: Salary £23,151.27.
