Product Development Chemist

We are recruiting a Product Development Chemist to join our team in Pocklington near York to work closely with our Production and Agronomy Departments to develop novel plant nutrition formulations.,

• Carry out research and laboratory investigations to develop new product formulations


• Interaction with Agronomy R&D on new development projects


• Progress new formulations from lab scale to full production


• Technical support to production operations


• Maintain records in accordance with ISO9001 procedures


• Evaluation of new raw materials
  
  Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject


• Minimum 2 years' experience in chemical laboratory.


• Experience of working in an industrial chemical production facility.


• Attention to detail essential


• Good IT and communication skills


• High level of safety awareness and sound understanding of relevant regulations, e.g. COSHH, COMAH etc


• Experience in formulation or inorganic chemistry, particularly in relation to fertilisers or agrochemicals would be a distinct advantage, as would familiarity with ISO9001.
