Your new role
Here at National Highways, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our Major Projects directorate as part of the Regional Investment Programme division (RIP) within the A66 team.
The successful candidate can be based at either our Manchester or Leeds locations, however here at National Highways, we have a hybrid working approach, meaning the role will include a combination of attending the office and other National Highways offices / sites along with agile working from home.
The key purpose of this role is to support and enable the delivery of capital investment projects in the Major Projects directorate. This role encompasses the delivery and coordination of project and administrative support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to time, quality and within budget. Therefore, it is crucial that the individual for this role is proactive in their approach and can take the lead in pushing forward for project objectives.
What you'll be leading on
+ Operate many administrative processes, ensuring that these are delivered accurately on time and in line with defined procedures and standards.
+ Co-ordinate high-quality responses for customer contacts and ensure correspondence is drafted and completed to the required performance standards for quality and timeliness.
+ Support with project / programme governance and assurance requirements
+ Develop and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in National Highways and the supply chain., RIP is responsible for the development and delivery of junction improvements, bypasses, projects of National significance and major infrastructure projects. We deliver capital improvements that will help to grow the economy and deliver wider social benefits and improve infrastructure.

+ Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders and build strong relationships.
+ Exceptional organisational skills, including managing multiple tasks to deadlines.
+ Ability to work with different types of project information, collate feedback, form conclusions and provide guidance.
+ Excellent customer service skills and good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to answer and deal with queries from a wide variety of stakeholders.
