Full Job Description

This role is looking after our off shore purchasing from our Bristol based Head Office. There will be no requirement to travel to factories. You will be reporting into the Managing Director and responsible for managing all orders placed with our partner factories in the Far East. There are currently no direct reports, hence no managing of staff, but more managing the end to end process. This is a varied role, in which every day is different. A significant and varied amount of experience can be gained quickly in this fast-paced business, in which there will be a lot of on the job training., Ensure orders are placed, manufactured and delivered on time

- Work with third party quality inspection partners and garment testing labs, to ensure the quality of the garments are second to none

- Liaise with factories in the Far East to deal with any issues that may arise

- Communicate and escalate any issues to the relevant departments

- Logging, updating and monitoring of key systems and spreadsheets

- Creating and managing of technical files relating to garments

- Tracking, checking and logging of approval samples, lab dips and components

- Supporting with pricing negotiations and price comparison exercises to increase margin

- Oversee accuracy of supplier invoices and resolve queries in a timely manner

- Support with ensuring all factories are compliant to ethical standards

- Supporting management with ad hoc urgent tasks

Candidates for this role must be assertive / able to challenge as well as be dynamic, highly organized, accurate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to work well under pressure, a multi-tasker, and possess good communication skills in order to liaise with multiple departments and staff at various levels within the business. We are seeking a candidate with experience in an administration role (purchasing background is desirable but not essential), who is commercially astute and understands the importance of building and maintaining relationships with factories. Candidates must be able to work using their own initiative.
