QA Engineer

The QA Engineer will join one of our squads working on exciting experimentation and simplification initiatives across our three main brands Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair. Our cross-functional teams shape highly available, scalable and resilient systems. You'll work closely with software engineers, product owners and product managers to ensure we are delivering high quality solutions to business challenges and requirements.,

• Carry out testing activities in a fast-paced Product Delivery team.


• Be responsible for rigorously planning, writing and executing test scripts, and generally getting stuck in to support delivery.


• Work with 3rd parties and other teams to manage releases, report and track defects.


• Test against a range of devices, browsers and operating systems to ensure our customers have a consistent, high-quality experience.


• You investigate and debug the defects you find, providing concise and clear understanding to your colleagues.


• We have strong team values. You will work as part of an autonomous squad. We take responsibility, we support each other, and we don't hand-off.


• QA Engineers are very much first-class citizens. We care about quality, and we expect QA Engineers to get involved at all phases of delivery.


• We embrace new tools and technologies and use the right tool for the job., Working in a team of Software and QA engineers focused on the delivery of features in alignment with key business areas, supporting the tribes long term technology strategies.
  
  Be willing to adjust when circumstances or requirements change outside your teams' control.


• You have experience in a QA environment, including test analysis, test scripting, test execution and defect management.


• You have a good understanding of web technologies, techniques and practices.


• You have an understanding of Test Automation, the positives and negatives, when it could provide benefits and when we should stick to manual testing.


• Contribute to a culture in which the team can surface and discuss their ideas openly and considerately.
