Full Job Description

This post is being advertised as a full-time post, however we would consider applicants wishing to work part-time (up to 30 hours per week) or as a job share arrangement. This post forms part of our Quality team for the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WYICB) . The post holder will support the quality assurance of services commissioned under the NHS Standard Contract i.e., all NHS Funded Care Providers (NHS / Private). This role will be responsible for providing quality expertise to the local system within a defined portfolio such as childrens and maternity, mental health or planned care; working to ensure quality planning, assurance and improvement systems and processes are implemented and managed, whilst contributing to the development of new, integrated ways of working at place and/or ICS level. We are proud to be part of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership. As an employee of the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, you will also be expected to contribute to
work across the West Yorkshire geography. Main Duties and Responsibilities The post holder will enable the delivery of the statutory function of patient safety and continuous quality improvement through the commissioning of high-quality services for the local population. The Quality Manager is responsible for promoting a culture that ensures all functions within the ICB and wider system strive for and demonstrate continuous improvement. Fundamental to this role is demonstrating continuous improvement in patient outcomes and patient experience, and a reduction in unwarranted system and service variation, through developing and embedding systems and infrastructure to support new ways of system wide working through the strategy and planning, transformation, and change. This role will provide; Specialist advice, guidance and support in quality improvement and current systems and processes of quality assurance to programme and pathway teams, exhibiting a high degree of matrix working to
ensure the best outcomes for the population. Leadership of key workstreams in the defined portfolio Horizon scanning of improvement initiatives and evidence base relating to quality and safety, ensuring it is embedded in the design and delivery of care. Facilitation of the required integrated responses to quality concerns and surveillance, engaging all relevant partners to ensure improved outcomes. Management and guidance in the development of the quality improvement specialist resource to ensure organisational and national priorities are met.
